CASTING INFORMATION




Tuesday, May 27th at 7:00 PM

Wednesday, May 28th at 7:00 PM

Callbacks if needed: Thursday, May 29th at 7:00 PM


Auditions will consist of singing (preferably a song from the show) dancing (please wear comfortable shoes), and script readings. Auditions will take place at Rosary High School Theater, located at 901 N Edgelawn Dr., Aurora, IL 60506


Directions:

  • Take 88 west to Orchard. 

  • Orchard south to Indian Trail. 

  • Left on Indian Trail.  Go to Edgelawn. 

  • Turn Right on Edgelawn.  Go about 4 blocks to the school. 

  • Enter thru door #2

Looking to cast an ensemble of actors in a variety of speaking, singing and dancing parts. Those auditioning must be able to play characters 18 years or older. Actors playing the children will need to show their abilities to “act” like elementary school children. Focusing on eight children and their teachers during their Catholic elementary and high school education in the 1950s, “Shoes” captures the funniest aspects of youthful growing pains and the trying moments of adolescence. Every number tickles the funny bone of anyone who ever went to school, public or private.




REHEARSAL INFORMATION

PERFORMANCE DATES


Rehearsals generally will take place Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 7-10:00 PM beginning on Tuesday, June 3rd. Sunday rehearsals will begin after the July 4th holiday.


Please bring ALL CONFLICTS you have with this schedule to auditions. Please be honest about work conflicts, holidays, business trips, vacations, etc. Conflicts may affect casting.

Performances will take place at Rosary High School, 901 N Edgelawn Dr., Aurora, Il 60506.
